Over the summer London Designer Outlet launched Joy, becoming one of the first retail destinations to embrace AI.

The AI assistant was launched to further enhance the customer experience at LDO and is able to help visitors plan their day, find out what offers are available, and where the best places to eat are.

Joy is also available in around 60 different languages which allows LDO to communicate with its diverse range of regular shoppers, as well as the millions of international visitors who come to Wembley every year.

To help promote the launch of Joy, Redwood set up an interview for LDO’s Head of Marketing, Michelle D’Vaz Plant, with Retail Week.

During the interview Michelle was able to talk about the instant impact Joy has had on traffic to the LDO website, as well as how Joy is set to evolve over the coming months – with the launch of a new game in store over the coming months.

Michelle was also able to talk about how LDO is an early adopter of AI amongst retail destinations and how the findings from Joy will help to inform decision making for LDO’s brands moving forward.
