We worked with Matthew Slade, Retail Director at Quintain, to secure a commentary article in Drapers discussing how London Designer Outlet is benefiting from the rise in popularity of women’s sporting events at Wembley.

The article looked at LDO’s unique position next to Wembley Stadium and OVO Arena allows it to stand out from other retail destinations as it is able to welcome visitors from around the world.

It was also found that across four standalone women’s sporting events in 2025 total sales reached £1.47m. What was more intriguing was that across two England Women’s football internationals last year, total sales at LDO reached £566,104, compared to £507,176 brought in by two England men’s internationals. This was despite the combined attendance for the women’s games being almost half as much as the men’s internationals.
